Hardywood's The Great Return

Hardywood's The Great Return

A beer that's delicious and environmentally conscious? Let me get a pint of that!

Hardywood's The Great Return is a West Coast style IPA with grapefruit on the nose and a light body that's perfect for a day near the water, preferably the James River.

In beautiful symbiosis, $10 of every barrel brewed of the Great Return goes to the James River Association and JRA's work to preserve the watershed that Hardywood relies on to brew its beer. Atlantic sturgeon, once abundant and now nearly extinct from overfishing and pollution, grace the can as an homage to the sturgeon that have been spotted in the river over the past decade, indicating a possible regrowth of these historic aquatic monsters (seriously - they can grow to 15 ft).

Hardywood says The Great Return pairs well with sushi and smoked fish, but maybe aim for fish that have been responsibility harvested so you don't negate your good deed.
